When you log in, you come to the “Back End” or “Dashboard” of the blog. That is where you arrange everything and where you usually write posts and pages.
Pages are permanent things dealing with who you are, what you do, how to navigate the blog—anything that comes up often or may be useful in a general sense. They form the Masthead of the blog.
Posts are dated items posted in sequence, kind of like long tweets, or in my case, poems and reviews. They are the magazine part of the blog.
Check out what the blog looks like right now by clicking on “Visit Site” at the top. Don’t worry, this article is there, too. The Theme gives it its appearance. To see other possibilities, open “Appearance” and click on “Themes”, then search without selecting anything, to get a look at some of the possible themes. To see it in large, click on the picture. It will enlarge over this page. To get back here, click on the X in the upper left corner. If you want to try a theme, call me, and I’ll talk you through it.
